Protecting the User's Personal Information

Compare-1 will take all reasonable steps to protect the User's personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Compare-1 will also destroy or de-identify any personal information which belongs to a User if that User requests that Compare-1 do so, to the extent we are not required by law to retain it.

Compare-1 will use the User's personal information for the primary purpose of providing the User with the service or offers in relation to the service. To provide the service to the User, Compare-1 discloses the User's personal information to relevant third-party partners so that they may provide the User with a quote or information about their products and services.

We may send you direct marketing communications and information about products and services that we consider may be of interest to you. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for six (6) years from the date of collection, in line with standard UK limitation periods. After this period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymised. If you request deletion of your personal information prior to the expiry of this retention period, we will action that request to the extent we are not required by law to retain it, and will inform you of the outcome.

Use of Personal Information for Research Purposes

Compare-1 may use a User's de-identified personal information for research and development purposes without obtaining a User's consent, as the information cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
